I didn't actually WATCH that part of Attack of the Clones yesterday, but it's one of my favorite SW moments...
So figured I'd give a nice substantial update...with lots of random jumps and points (wouldn't be me if it there wasn't any, though, would it?)
To start, we've had some Kitteh drama (I know y'all practically feed off the Kitteh Soap Opera that is my life):
Madre called me yesterday saying she had some kinda bad news. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with her knee. Nope...it was cat related. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, but back near the end of Spring Break, Madre was getting fed up with the cats that were pissing in the house (meaning on the floor/tables/counters/various items and NOT in their litter boxes). We knew which cats were doing it, so I just up and caught them and tossed them outside. Now Nanny stuck to the porch, and has been hanging around outside the back!front door ever since. Marishka, on the other hand, only stuck around for a few days. Then Madre didn't see her at all...until yesterday morning. She told me Marishka had come back...missing a front leg. She was clearly in a lot of pain, so Madre cleaned her up and put her in the laundry room until they could get her to the vet. When they did, he told them it was probably a coyote that had done it - broken the leg and just ripped it out. Infection had set in and Marishka was in so much pain. It would've taken $1500 just for them to SEE if the damage could even be fixed, so Madre decided it was best to have her put down.
Now I know something like this could never have been forseen when I tossed her out. But I still can't help feelig responsible b/c I was the one who threw her outside. She wasn't a MEAN cat either...just very aloof and not very into following house rules. Doesn't mean I wanted something so horrible for her...to know she was in so much pain before being put down makes my heart ache. *sigh* Hindsight and whatnot, you know?
Anywho, moving on from such a sad topic...
I got my fic written for ENC, and I'm kinda tempted to use a prompt from mission_insane when I go to post it online. Is that cheating?? I'm really not sure... I mean, it IS fic and everything...D/V fic that could easily fill a prompt spot on one of the tables. I even have one ready... still debating though. IDK how I feel about an assignment for class taking one of the prompts...
So I attempted to watch My Fake Fiance on ABC Family tonight. I've been seeing previews for it constantly for weeks since I watch Gilmore Girls regularly on the weekdays, and I thought it looked cute. I mean there's nothing like a highly predictable made for tv romance movie to put one in the perfect fluff writing mood, ya know (and as I stated in that fanfic meme, my thing is definitely fluff! XD)?? Some of them are actually pretty decent too. Yeah, no, not this one. It was just...bad. Honestly, I would take Mega Snake on levels of QUALITY over this movie (it wasn't even the good bad that Mega Snake so obviously is). I ended up watching more of the Canucks/Blues game instead of the movie - usually during things like this, I would flip back to the game during commercials to see how things were going. Oh no, I kept having to turn back to the game in the middle of the movie just to give myself a GOOD reason to be watching tv. *shudders* The movie had potential, but they just blew it.
Okay, raise your hand if you have songs on your iTunes (or whatever such music program you use) that you never consciously play b/c you have an URGE to hear them (I don't mean OST tracks, either). *raises hand* I was thinking about it in the shower (yeah, i know...don't ask. I have no idea why my mind goes the places it does when it does. I'm just along for the ride), and I realized a small portion of my music collection is made up of songs I consider to be playlist music. Meaning they are good for playlists that you set on random...they come up and you jam to them. But you never ACTUALLY go out of you way to search them out in your collection. Some of my examples are all of my Cher music, several of my Michael Jackson songs (Thriller not included), almost ALL my Britney Spears music (not counting the whole Circus CD b/c I LOVE that shit and listen to is constantly). I was just wondering if others have songs like this??
Haz my questions all ready for when MSOL gets the submissions open - you know a well thought out question has to be written down and reviewed b/c you don't want to waste precious time trying to word something the right way on the spot and don't want to look like a total ass when it all comes out wrong (which is why I think we were informed of the opportunity Friday evening - I see what they did there!).
Alrighty, that's all I've got for now. I'm gonna go off and be a good fanfic writer and get caught up on my ff.net posting.
