Yeah, it's a few days late (because didn't I say I'd have it up by Friday?? *snirk*), but I finally got a picture of the sketching I did earlier in the week. There aren't any steadfast 'rules' when it comes to drawing. There are lots of different ways, and usually you just go for whatever works for you. I've had no training either, only those 'how to draw' books when I was a kid. Like, for me, I find it easier to sketch the lines and shapes of the face before I try to put any detail in. That helps me position everything. I think I've shown this with my CG sketches before. But I look at that Victor pic, and I see this:




Now you definitely have a talent for drawing features - the eyes and brow are particularly good in your drawing, and the shading is excellent. But I think blocking in the shapes and lines of the face might be good practice for you to work out the placement of those features on the face.

Again, thank you! This should really help a lot in making it better - it's gotta be near perfection since I'm planning on getting Michael to sign it!
