"Not everyone is as loyal as you, Charles."

First off, just wanted to say many thanks for all the hugs and kind comments in regards to Riley. Of course I'm not over it - no where close to accepting it, but I'm okay. It's going to take a long while to get over this.... I swear, I don't know which was worse. Sitting for five days watching Gracie die slowly or getting this unexpected blow about Riley. I know the pros outway the cons when it comes to being picked by cats, but the cons really do suck hard...

Anywho, moving on before I make myself cry... again...

To keep my mind occupied last night, I got farther into my Tudors rewatch. Only two episodes farther (at least had to finish up the first disk!), but it's still progress. I really do love that show... even knowing what's going to happen already, it's still so captivating! And having been a year since last watching this season, there's things I've kinda forgotten about that I'll remember or be reminded of. I want to watch Episode 4 tonight, but I have to be up early tomorrow for my ANT lab (which is at 8:30, so I'm getting up at 6:30 to give myself plenty of time), so I don't think that would be a wise thing to do.

So an update on the blue hair situation - I got the dye and tried it out. Well, it doesn't give much of a POP like the pink does, but of course I probably should have redone the blonde highlights before doing the blue. It does, however, add a subtle tone to the already blonde and pink, making those colors pop more. I was hoping for a bit of a bolder statement, but this works for now. I guess I should just live with the fact that the pink works for me. I wasn't gonna take pics, but SOMEONE *cough* taraleesg1 *cough* was rather... insistent yet uninsistent, so I'll probably be doing that tomorrow.

While out to get the dye, I picked up a handful of other things:

-Deadliest Catch, S.3 - This show is rather addictive and there really is nothing else that can fill the void when you want to watch it. And when it's not season, Discovery doesn't show it as regularly. So now when I get the overwhelming urge to watch the guys, I can! ;D

-OneRepublic's 'Dreaming Out Loud' and the Elizabeth OST - two CDs I've been meaning to get. Haven't had chance to sit down and listen to the Elizabeth OST, but 'Dreaming Out Loud' is LVOE. Not that I'm surprised - Stop and Stare is on it!

-Earrings and a necklace from HT. The necklace is a heart that I specifically got so I could have my kitties with me always - I wrote Gracie on one side, and Riley on the other. It's my own inexpensive way to keep them both with me and close to me always.

-Two shirts from Pac Sun - I couldn't help myself! Plus, I shameless buy the O'neill stuff... it looks good and has an unintentional stargate connection!

-FOUR books from Waldensbooks. They were all on clearence, how could i not? Got two more of the classic novels - The Jungle Book, and....*drum roll please* The Three Musketeers! (There is a connection to it that some on the flist will appreciate). The other two were Lord of the Rings: A Reader's Companion (didn't have it, so needed it for the collection), and "Unsinkable": The Full Story of the RMS Titanic. All of them have already been added to the stuff list...

The last thing for this post is just and update on the Chicago Con Fund: $74.54

And in honor of a cat who wasn't with us very long, but touched the entire family so profoundly, I have made an icon just for him. Everyone, say hello to Riley... ;) (this was one of the last pictures I have of him).
