November blues

Nov 30, 2010 23:34

Its the final few minutes of November, and I'm happy to see it gone.

All in all it was another month of pain and loneliness with only a few brief points of happiness.

Aside from living in my car on many of the weekends to escape, I got out of the house only once or twice to see friends.  Not nearly enough.

Thanksgiving was a complete disaster.

Even my planned movie outings got scrubbed.  Several groups of friends couldn't make it at different times, and then every one of them went off to see shows without me later.  So probably no Harry Potter for me till it comes out on TV.

The only real bright point of the month was NaNoWriMo, which I finally finished up tonight, "winning" by passing the 50K mark.  The story still has lots to go, and needs a ton of work.  I'm not sure if I'm happy enough to finish it or I'll start something new.  But that at least is something I'm proud of.  Its a major accomplishment for me to sit down and push out a complete story of that length.  I've always just dabbled with chapters or ideas before.

December I hope is a better month but I don't have my hopes up.  Christmas will probably suck.  Money is still a problem.  I have no idea how to handle Elizabeth.  At least its going to start off well with a trip away with friends.

I try to keep a positive outlook.  Its difficult when things keep being difficult.  But I have my hopes, and I'm burying my hardships away as best I can most days.
