something else that i've been up to that is worthy of its own entry has been playing bass lines for HT; max powers and wega's hip hop group. i've been laying down tracks for max's beats since the spring, but we did most of the best stuff in november and december. the tracks sound amazing. wega has really stepped it up as an mc, and max's beats have gotten really tight. they have a bunch of guest mc's, some relatives and friends and kids they met when they were living over in roxbury. they're pressing a ridiculous amount of copies of a 20+ track mixtape to give out for free all over the east coast. a bunch of the beats are max's, and a bunch are other people's. this is their website: http://www.htboston.com. i'll post mp3s when my favorite tracks make it online, there are a couple songs on the website already, but i suggest waiting for the other ones.
i went to the studio with them last week (the beats and the bass are done at their apartment, then they bring the tracks to boston butta beats to do the vocals). they record at the same studio as mr. lif and akrobatik.
