Something Different
Through a bizarre series of events this week, today, though my normal job route is in Daytona, I had to go to Fort Stewart in Georgia today on a service call. I guess that means I've been to three different Army bases around the country. Fort Lewis in Washington, and Fort Benning and Fort Stewart in Georgia.
Fort Stewart is just west of Savannah, so its a good 2 1/2 hour drive from Jacksonville. And yes, it is an incredibly boring drive. Fortunately I didn't make the drive for nothing, I managed to fix the thing. A 2 1/2 drive home while ticked off just sucks.
Oh and Coldplay's X&Y is quite possibly the best traveling music ever.
I just watched Michael Phelps win gold medal No. 34656987283. If he continues swimming, the swimming competition is gonna suffer the same fate as Olympic softball; discontinued because of the domination of a certain nation. Seriously, someone provide some decent competition. I'm beggin you. World? Any takers? No? Dangit.
Its good to see the US basketball team back to kicking international tail as well.
