People are complaining that desk workers are having too many visitors during their shifts. Corey gave me the heads up that "secret" people will be walking by to make sure that we are not breaking the rules. I think that sucks. I have my fair share of visitors, I'm willing to admit, but I never let it get out of control of my job. We don't really have that many job descriptions to begin with, but that's not my fault. If I had more to do, maybe people wouldn't end up flocking. If i did tell people that I can't really have any visitors, then I'm a big asshole.

I guess sometimes I have people over I shouldn't, but it never affects anything I have to do, and its no different than any other desk workers either. See how I'm rationalizing this all? Maybe it will be a good thing eventually, because then I will have more time to myself. Last night, literally, during my shift I had probably only about 10 minutes to myself. It does get bad, but I just don't like the fact that I have to tell people to go away. And, I don't think its unreasonable to chat with a friend for a little while, especially at 1 in the morning. Who needs a vaccuum then? Its just part of the job I guess to tell people to go away. I will look at it as an opportunity I don't get to express many other times during the day. Sometimes it is fun to be mean. :-)
