After a hiatus of several months, I have decided to attempt a return to the land of livejournal. In the past few months a lot has happened, no use in trying to go back over it all. But lately things have been different. I have completely turned around my major, now I am going for a double major in Economics and Finance. I'm really not sure at all if that is what I want to do, but as of right now I feel better about that than I felt about biochemistry. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, even if not in the sense of really high math. But the stock market is also great too, that's why I'm doubling in Finance. I just began it as a hobby in mid-october last year, and I enjoy it a lot. I've been doing alright as well. Actually today I was just reading about how there actually is an Iraq Stock Exchange that's been creeping along for the past year or two. In all truth sounds like a great investing idea. As long as the country doesn't fall apart and disintegrate into anarchy, I can't see the stocks going down much more, that's what they've been doing there since it began.
Anyways, it's crazy that freshman year is nearly over. In two weeks I will have finished my first day of work, and in one week I will be spending my last night in East Lansing for a few months. It's appealing, going home for summer, and living that life, but also is sad to leave here. I've reconciled myself to working all summer. No more lazing about like in summer's past. But I am going on a few trips. Chicago and New York, and possibly another trip to Canada, like Montreal is where I am really aiming. I want to explore North America more. I'm somewhat traveled, but not well traveled to any extent. I want to change that.
Well I'm done for now because I have a paper to write. Au revoir, mes amis.
