Got Mikey and the kids to Daytona with Starr's help. Bought out all the rooms at her parent's hotel for the next three months. They need time to accept their daughter's death and Mikey and the kids could use them as support and vice versa.
We had life insurance on Brookie. I told the studio it was all going to her parents. That the movie was completed and they would make the money back ten fold when it's released. No reason to hold on to the cash in the policy. Let her parents have the chance to do whatever they want and not be tied to this city if they don't feel like it.
We're hanging around until the funeral service on Monday. I helped with the arrangements. Kept me busy and Starr has been amazing with the kids. I think...I think maybe if we all stick together things will even out and Mike won't go off the deep end. Never thought I'd be the one pulling him back from the edge, but he's like a brother to me. I'm not going to let him self destruct. Brookie wouldn't want that.
We're taking off for my island in Greece as soon as the funeral is over. I invited her parents and I hope they decide to get on the jet with us. Get out of this country, away from the vultures with cameras and have the time to get to know the other members of Brookie's extended family. The island will only be us and my most trusted staff. It will be a place to heal.
