Well, not really, but here's the thing:
The antefact: 2 weeks ago during the Big Snowfall (for non uk-living people, it was just a normal snowfall, but here anything above 1 inch will get the whole country to a complete halt) I got hit by another driver. No injuries or anything for either of us, the damage to the car didn't seem to be particularly bad and she admitted fault right away so I thought there'd be no problem, HOWEVER, having had an estimate done by a garage, the guilty party's insurance (the one who would be responsible for picking up the bill) has decided that since the cost of repair would almost equal the value of the car (which is 7 years old, so not worth a huge amount) they're gonna write it (the car) off and pay me its current market value.
I had bought that car about 2 years ago and had a number of small problems with it, and generally speaking never particularly liked it, so overall I'm not too sad to see it go - except I now have to go through the pain in the arse to look for and buy another car, something I well and truly hate (it ranks almost as bad as moving home for me).
SO - I'm aware that most of you being g**hs and/or living in London you most likely don't have a car, never wanted one and don't know many people who do, but if you know someone who's got a car for sale, THIS is the moment to let me know.
What I'm after is a medium-sized, city car (I have no problems whatsoever with the size of my cock, therefore need no extensions of any sort), let's say engine between 1.0 and 1.3 (like a Ford Fiesta or a Vauxhall Corsa, but will consider most makes though probably NOT a Peugeot seeing that the car I've just got rid of was a Peugeot and like I said I never really got into it), will consider anything up to 1.6 but definitely not above that. Price would ideally be between £1000 and £1500, though I might go as far up as £2000 tops if it's REALLY worth it, age would be anything up to 10 years (and given the price I stated, realistically I doubt it'll be less than 5/6 years old). It should have a valid MOT (preferably just passed, or at least valid for another good few months) and of course be in good conditions (I don't mind the odd bump or scratch on the bodywork, but the engine, wheels etc. need to be in good working order). Ideally the person selling it would be someone you know and at least up to a certain extent trust - one of the worst things of looking for a car is how to make sure you're not getting ripped off (especially for people who are not really experts in the matter like me), hence my asking people I know before I go down the Auto-trade/gumtree route.
Like I said, I don't expect anything to come out of this, but if any of you knows someone who's got a car for sale drop me a line.
Cheers
