I just got finished watching Fools Rush In.
For those of you who have never seen that movie, it stars Matthew Perry and Selma Hayek. Matthew moves to Las Vegas for a job and while there meets Selma, has a one night stand with her, then 3 months later she comes back to tell him she's pregnant. He goes to meet her family then that same night proposes they elope. They get married and face many challenges between the two of them. He continues to hold things from her and one lie causes them to break apart. By the time he realizes that they belong together, he meets her on a bridge he she was going to cross on her way back to Nevada and tells her in the rain that they're meant to be. She's still pregnant and has the baby on the bridge. The movie ends with them getting remarried.
*smiles* I've loved that movie for as long as I can remember. And I never really knew why. I do now.
I realize that's it's just a movie, but it's a glimpse that love does happen that quickly. Not everyone has to wait for that love. Not everyone has to wait to know it's right. I didn't.
I know that Brit and I got married quickly but it was the best damn decision I've ever made in my life. She's completely my everything. My love for her is so much deeper than my love for anyone else could be or could have been. When I'm with her, it's peaceful and serene and just everything being with your loved one should be.
At night when she's asleep I look at her face. She's so beautiful and I'm so damn lucky to have her in my life. I get out of bed and go into the girl's room and look at our beautiful daughters. They're such a blessing. I look at the three women in my life and I feel complete. I feel whole.
*smiles a little* They, are the solid reason I wake up every morning. Don't get my wrong, I love my fans, but I'm realistic. One day, I might not have fans, but I will have my wife and daughters. And that realization, is everything to me.
So, Janie's watching the girls because Brit and I are going out for a couple hours. There's something I've got to do.
*smiles* See you all when I get back.
