Say it Right

A constant theme and constant question in my life right now is about people and change. Can people really change, or are they perpetually stuck being the same person they always have been, despite their best efforts? I look through the facebook profiles and pictures of people I encountered throughout high school, and I wonder this about them. Are they still the same person they were three years ago? Sure, college and life changes everyone at least a little bit, but when it comes down to who we are as a whole, who we are deep inside, have any of us really changed? I'd like to think that everyone my age is a sort of "work in progress". None of us are done growing up yet, and until we figure out who we truly are, we will keep changing and shaping ourselves. When do we stop changing, and just be content with who we are? When do we finally feel comfortable in our own skins? When can we say "this is who I am" and actually accept that fact?? And, if people claim to have changed significantly, does that mean that we are supposed to change our opinions of them?? I don't know...its just a big bunch of confusion to me...and I its something I've been pondering lately.
