Peace is a proper noun and is no longer an idealist’s abstraction. The concept manifests and reproduces. Not because of some global appropriation of nonviolence doctrines, but because of global enlightenment. There is no longer a reason to be afraid.

Equity is real.
Dreams are no longer unspoken and therefore impossible.
Struggles exist, but coalitions are built peacefully.

Power is frequently and effectively challenged. We are no longer afraid to work together for our universal liberation.

We all understand that privilege scars even the privileged; all invest in shared wealth. Wealth no longer means money. Money is no longer the greatest resource, and we realize that we are all our own greatest resource. Children are taught they are superheroes. Teachers and adult friends have time to be their biggest fans.

Feeling hatred is now the greatest and most unfortunate oppression. Feeling inherently superior to other is the second greatest.

People move down to the root of injustice rather than forward to hide its evidence.

We all understand that privilege scars even the privileged; all invest in shared wealth. Wealth no longer means money.

People are no longer insecure about guarding what they didn’t work for.

We learn to care. We accept the compassion that we have been trained to abandon. We suddenly genuinely care. Not out of selfishness, but because we realize that we don’t need to compete.

Compassion is injected into all of us. People suddenly care enough about one other to commit their lives to serving others. With our new compassion, people begin caring for the ill. Eradicating poverty. Fighting against racism. Creating jobs so others might support themselves. Ending Sexism. Heterosexism. Patriarchy. Religious and cultural hierarchies and hatred.

Most importantly; we care find a genuine, basic, radical, invested compassion for the children. All children. Not just those of a certain race. Or gender. Or class. Or Nationality. Or geographic/social location.

Oppressions are linked and we understand that everyone should have the right to pursue happiness.

People develop senses of purpose as they relate to others they have never met.

We prioritize the future we will not see.
We lose our selfishness and see ourselves as a microcosmic spec on the planet in which we are all a part.
We frequently think about those in our newly formed global community before ourselves.

The day after the schools to prisons pipeline is closed, there will be a grounded invested interest in healing wounds and working towards new beginnings everywhere.
