Soooo . . i rolled my truck thursday
i know i havent been on in ages. between working and swimming i havent really had the urge or need to update. however i thought this was a big enough event to add lol. im sorry i havent really anything else to say . . im just trying to keep ppl updated. . .
The Story:
ok, so i was heading down I-95 at 6:00 thurs. night and it starts to pour. . . i slow to about 45-50. it's sort of light traffic (given its near ft lauderdale and rush hour) which i am highly thankful of. a/w im nearing the oakland park exit (for you locals) and i hit a puddle. the truck pulls the the tight, i hold it, it comes out of the puddle and starts to turn, i overcompensate, do a 180 from the middle lane over though the carpool lane and my pass rear hits the wall.a split second later im on my driversside skidding for a couple hundred feet. thankfully i was wearing my seatbelt and the airbag didnt deploy. i walked away w/o a mark (a bit anxious but thats to be expected). i feel fine now save a little sore neck (my laptop bag [which weighs about 10-15 pounds] was in the pass seat and hit my head when i rolled. i thought it was the airbag at first.)
Damage Report: **all by my untrained eye and no prof. opinion**
the pass rear end is f'd and i may/will have to get the bed replaced, enitre dirver side will have to be replaced/ repainted, hood will have to be re aligned, ill have to take my new damn clr corners apart AGAIN and do the stupid headlight mod so they'll match the headlights, and im some how hit my pass front fender ( to you who follow the forums) so that'll have to be fixed.
The up note:
I believe a rollpan is cheaper then a new bumper and since they will probably have to cut the exhaust back im going to shoot for a new exhaust and have it dumped for now. also i just ordered my new taillights list week and they'll be hear shortly.
All in all im going to the body shop mon to see if they can make it drivable (BTW i live across the state) and to get an estimate. hopefully my interior isnt too screwed from the water and my new momos still work (got to have your priorities)
