My Verdict on Ron Artest
ok, ben wallace shoves him for an elbow and launches him about 25 feet and he backs down and lies down on the bench. Ben, despite having the worst haircut in the NBA, is a tough motherfucker, so I don't blame Artest for bitching out. I woulda. I'm crazy, not stupid.
Then, this asshole fan throws a drink on him. This guy should immediately be ejected from the arena for being an asshole, but Artest charges into the stands and hits a guy near the thrower for laughing at Artest's misfortune. The pacers (Artest's team) think Stern (NBA commissioner) over-reacted....hell no...he left the court...what should have happened is Artest leaving in cuffs. He behaved like an animal and should be caged like one. How come Tony Dungy is commenting about Artest making black athletes look bad....because there were 6 NBA players invovled in that fight and 6 that received a suspension and all 6 were black....is that incidental? Terrel Owens did a skit, and fairly well. He was given lines and acted a part...Artest was acting on his own behalf, not some script. Shame on him, shame on Tony Dungy, Shake on Ben Wallace for his haircut, shame on Daniel Stern for suspending Artest for only one year and not removing him from the game, making it acceptable to strike a fan. Shame on the NFL and their hypocracy...and twins!
