I'm cooking lentils. I think I'm going to save them for later though because I just unexpectedly was invited to a cookout at Adam and Essie's apartment.
I have a new job working for Whole Foods Market here in Louisville. This is my first "real" full-time post graduation job. I went through training all last week and learned all about GMOs, hormones, irradiation facilities and other scary conventional agricultural practices. I also got a big dose of Whole Foods's corporate philosophy. The job pays way more than I've ever made previously and has full benefits. The company is rapidly growing too so I think opportunities for advancement should be forthcoming provided I adapt well. I think I already fit in pretty well with the types of people who typically work at Whole Foods though. I have a week of closing shift (3PM-11PM) to look forward to starting Monday.
