Reason vs. Myspace

I hate to keep dwelling on myspace-related themes in this (far superior) LJ community but sadly that is where much of the drama in my life continues to unfold. Today Firefighter Chris changed his personal status from "single" to "in a relationship". He is now no longer looking for "dating" or "serious relationships". I am really confused. I surmise that it could mean one of a few things: A. He met someone new yesterday and today they decided to be boyfriends!? B. He was dating somebody before me that he didn't mention (and I did explicitly ask him if he was dating anyone and when his last relationship ended) and they decided to be boyfriends today. C. He thinks that after our one date we are now "in a relationship". D. He made it up for some unknown reason.

A cursory glace at his top friends and friends' comments seems to suggest that he isn't dating anyone else. He didn't really strike me as the type who might lie to me as he seems to have had problems with dishonesty in his former romantic interests. Our date seemed to go rather well I thought and we agreed we should see each other again before we parted.

Does anybody know what the hell it means to be "in a relationship" in myspace terms anyway? It seems so vague to me.

If A. or C. is the case, I think it is more than a little ridiculous to consider oneself in a relationship after a single date.

I guess I should just call him. Enough with this ambiguous myspace bullshit.
