Dear Baron Hill for Congress Campaign,
Because of the attached message I feel I can no longer support the Democratic candidate for congress running in my district. Clearly, Baron "Family Man" Hill does not support all families in the 9th district. Without the legal protections afforded by legal marriage same-sex headed families are left in a precarious legal state. It takes courage to fight for justice for the disenfranchised. Clearly Baron Hill does not have the courage it takes to stand up for the people he seeks to represent. Clearly Baron Hill is not in the least concerned about the wellbeing of some of the very people he expects to vote for him. It's a shame Baron Hill's "deep religious convictions" don't resemble the loving and humble example of Jesus.
Jesus would forgive Baron Hill for selling out his supporters. I won't though. I see no compelling reason to support Baron Hill's campaign when HE won't even support my basic human rights. I will no longer display a yard sign for Baron Hill. I will no longer try to convince my 9th district friends and family to vote for Baron Hill. I am removing my Baron Hill bumper sticker from my car.
That said, I will obviously not vote for Sodrel. He is even more out of touch with real human needs and interests than Baron Hill is. It looks like the Libertarian Party is the only party in Indiana with enough room for everybody.
Most Sincerely,
Daniel Koenig
New Albany, Indiana

Greetings!
Many of you know me personally, and you know that I am a family man with deep religious convictions. Much has been said by my opponent, Mike Sodrel, about my beliefs concerning gay marriage, and I'm here to set the record straight.
Simply put, I believe that marriage is sacred and is a right only between a man and a woman. The people of the 9th District know that I am a man of my word, and they know that I will work to return strong Hoosier family values to Washington, values such as honesty, integrity, and faith.
The people of Indiana should not be surprised that they can't trust Mike Sodrel to live up to his word. Shortly after signing the Clean Campaign Pledge, Mike Sodrel broke the promise he made to the Monroe County religious leaders to run a clean, positive campaign. If Mike Sodrel cant be honest with ministers, how can we expect him to be honest with the people of the 9th District about anything?
I know that the people of Indiana are disappointed with the folks in Washington, and they want a change. The House of Representatives should be a place of honor and integrity. In Congress, I will represent your interests and work for your needs. I understand the importance of keeping the public's trust, and I'll work to bring back the strong values that our government desperately needs.
I encourage you to visit my website at www.baron2006.com, and thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Baron P. Hill
