Life And Death Walk

May 01, 2005 13:11

And so these lights seem to follow me, as illusions make form change.
A long while it has been for this path to stay the same.
Wheels and water rumble at their own varying pace.
My steps are as clean as the sky into small unclaimed lakes.

Exhaustion has no meaning as this moment becomes defined.
This is just what I have needed. This is my time.
When the sun finally sets fully on its back,
Surroundings are more appealing, silhouettes in black.

As black as the coldest winter night,
My nocturnal mind’s eyes open wide.
This life would look better under bigger city lights,
The sayings are true about the other side.

This road just gets longer,
And I feel more and more lost.
But reality seems to feel stronger,
And I think it’s now time to cross.

A direction changes when something or someone goes awry
But in exception, this time, everything seems to be exceptionally alright.
Because these things happen to make me more worth being,
And on this walk between life and death I see these benefits worth seeing.
