wedding

Ahhhh!!! My cousin on my mom's side, her sister's daughter, or my aunt's daughter, is getting married and I get to be a bridesmaid! Ha haa!

ha haa!!! yay! This will be my first wedding where the dress that I wear doesn't shred or the strap does not start to come off. Long story...(btw: if you don't really care how my dress shredded, as I doubt most of you do, or what kind of dress i have to buy, don't bother to 'read more')

the first wedding I went to, my cousin stacey's wedding, who i'm not really cousins, my mom sort of is in a way, she's my mom's second cousin, so i guess stacey's like my second cousin once removed or something like that. Anyway, i had bought a dress and it was very pretty and everything,b/c the wedding was formal. While I'm sitting there waiting for the hamotzi to be finished so that i could take a bite of the really delicious looking rolls, i noticed that the top of the dress (it was two piece) was fitting a little looser. I look down and the material has shredding from the seams. If I had tried to stretch it would have shredded even more. thank goodness there was a slip thingy otherwise, i would have had to wear my sweater (you have to cover your shoulders in an orthodox-jewish temple, or any temple for that matter as far as i know) in that VERY hot room.

I'm excited. I get to pick out the dress myself and everything. She just has to give me a color and I have to pick from the same designer as her maid of honor is picking from so at least the design of the dresses are similar, but they don't have to be the same dress because there are only two of us and my cousin figures that it doesn't matter if we wear the same dress as long as they're the same color and similar in design.
