So yesterday I was driving to the gym when I looked over and saw that the mcD I used to work at was halfway on the ground and there was a backhoe in the middle of where I used to take orders. This filled me with a large amount of glee. If I had known that was going to happen, I would have grabbed a lawn chair, an iced tea, and made some popcorn. I also probably would have borrowed my boyfriends camera to take pictures. Not having heard this in advance however, I had to content myself with rubbernecking as a drove by.
I also have been pondering pop culture a bit lately (this probably has a lot to do with all the time i've been spending at the gym), and I have decided that Calvin Kline really needs to work on their model choices. I realize most lines of clothing/cosmetics/perfume have certain asthetic preferences for their models, but man, the two on the page about to make out looked like brother and sister, I swear. It was really uncanny and a little scary.
Again on the pop culture note, Paris Hilton needs to stop her rich bitch whining about her jail term. This country has laws. Everyone needs to follow them. Yes, I realize that as a rich celebrity, she gets as much due process as she can pay for, but damnit, she's been weighed, measured, and sentenced. Paris, you did something wrong and got caught. Pay the price, and maybe even learn a bit. May I never write about Paris Hilton again.
Enough about Pop culture.
I am working on getting the wheels in motion for my move to Boston. It will probably be around early to mid-August. The main concerns are finding a place to live and finding a job. Of course, on the job front, I should probably also work harder on finding one here to make a bit BEFORE I go.
I'll work on that a bit tonight I think.
My birthday is also coming up next Thursday the 17th. Even tho for the last two years my birthdays have scared me a bit, as I've been spending some time in the mid-twenties crisis, I am actually looking forward to this one. I'm thinking 26 could be a really good year. As for the day itself, I'm looking at making a third donation to locks of love, which will leave me with my shortest hairstyle yet. I am rather excited about it acutally--i've been seeing some short looks in magazines that I kinda want to try. And now that I have my rollers set, I'm curious about experimenting with that as well. Other than that, I am thinking of going out for sushi, then probably out to Vertex for drinks and dancing and the best happy hour ever from 1030-1130. It should be good.
And today, my guitar teacher gave me a piece to practice that I actually own a recording of. Its nice to feel like i'm advanced enough to be playing "real" music. Yay.
