My original weight-loss goal (that i started in October) was to get down to 126 by my birthday, which is in about two weeks. I started at about 137 lbs. I had a few snafus in this process, the biggest one being when I didn't go to the gym for a month because I was filing out college applications and making recordings.
Once I got back on track, it took me some time to get back to where I had even started. Once there, i started making some progress. Then my bf and I started the South Beach Diet. He lost a lot right away, whereas my progress was rather slow.
But steady. And between that and the more regular workouts I've gotten into, I did continue to lose fat. And yes, I know it was fat cuz i've been able to increase the weights on my resistance excersizes.
Even still, a couple weeks ago I could tell by the slowing of my progress that it would be impossible to meet my original goal. I decided to modify it--to be in the 120's by my birthday. And here we are, two weeks early. Barely, but still there.
Yay!
