My friend taught me to knit today. It was kinda fun. I've been crocheting for years, but now i can add soemthing else to my repertoire. I taught myself to knit once out of this godawful book from the seventies that used to be my mothers. I made one project after a great deal of false starts, and then never did it again. That was about 15 years ago. This time i learned the basic stitches as well as a few advanced shaping techniques, all in about 2 hours. I don't know how much I'll have retained by tomarro, but I can always invite her over for tea again.
I also had my probably second-to-last Concentus Concert today. It was at a church we've not performed at before. The acoustics there were really cool, especially for the Hildegard pieces we did. Everything just echoed. One of our members who recently had a hip replacement was able to make the performance too, even tho she's not quite able to join us for singing yet. It was good to see her out and about and know she's ok. I also got a decent amount of friends and family to come too, which was really nice. It just makes me sad to think that I probably only have one concert left with them. I've been with the group since Jan 04, and since we are so small, I really know everyone it in. I'll be sorry to leave.
