Let this be a cautionary tale to those in search of the cheap way out: cheapest isn't the best.
So, my hair was getting too long and brittle. Every time I looked down upon my pale pink locks, I noticed how increasingly dry it was becoming. Drastic actions had to be taken... my hair had to be cut.
But in what style? Hmm... That was tough. I usually went to the salon and flipped through the hairstyle books until I decided on one... But this time, the plan was different...This time, I was going to be in control of what my hair would look like..I would go in there with a style in mind.
This time, I would have a plan.
So, over a couple of days, I began to watch television carefully to see what kind of styles were cool. I didn't get any good ideas. What to cut my hair to look like? That question burned in my mind. What could I honestly have for a hair style? Well, my inspiration came from quite an unusal source: my art.
I had recently drawn this picture of a character in my developing manga.. she had this really cool haircut... So, I made another drawing, a close-up with more realistic-looking hair...
I call it "Generic Anime Hairstyle #6" or simply "The Motoko," because the first person I saw sporting this was Motoko Kunsagi of "Ghost in the Shell" fame. Oddly enough, this was the first feature-lengh anime movie I remember seeing! Go Motoko!
So, with the drawing in hand, I went to the Wal*Mart to get my hair cut. Now, I should have remembered the horrible experiences that have come from the Wal*Mart salon. Every single time I have had a hair cut there, I was forced to correct the problems at home by cutting more. Well, that wasn't on my mind... only the thrill of a new look.
I shouldv'e realized that the whole endeavor would be a disaster after seeing a sign that stated that there wasn't any hot water... "Oh well," I thought "Fuck a hair washing! I want my hair cut!" And so, I eagerly jumped into the chair and handed the hairdresser the picture and asked her if she could cut my hair to look like it. She claimed she could... so I was off!
Well, my hair did look like the picute... when it was wet. But when it dried out...
It mushroomed! Sonbitch! I look like a hot pink mushroom now! Oh well, maybe in a few days I'll get used to my hair and like it... always happens like that... I did post this yesterday, but the stupid tag system wasn't working so I'm trying again.
