Apartment!
I officially have my own place! A one bedroom, one bath at the Chapelle le Grande (I know, so fancy!), which is a grand total of four minutes from work! It's a great layout, so it seems a whole lot bigger than 750 sq. ft. There are closets everywhere, including the bathroom and a walk-in in the bedroom, which is awesome. I haven't had a bathroom that big since we lived above the daycare in Chicago when I was a kid, and the kitchen is remarkably like what we had in 6M in St. Louis, which is kind of cool in a nostalgic sort of way. Ceiling fans, a community pool for happy summertime swimming, very helpful and professional property management, 24-hour emergency maintenance, prime location in relation to all vital day-to-day life needs, I can paint the walls however I choose (YAY!), free parking, and all for $600 a month, which is insanely cheap for that part of Merrillville. I can't believe I'm going to have my own place. I've never lived alone before, and I think I'm really going to like it. I move in June 27, which is an ideal move-in date. Everything came together so well that it makes me think this is the place I'm supposed to be. Now comes the fun of going through all the furniture my family wants to give away and making my decorating decisions! I can't wait to be all moved in and have work people over for a housewarming get-together!
