Fall hit me like a Mac Truck yesterday. So cold and windy and crisp, which is lovely, but after this extended summer it felt almost wintery. It's supposed to warm up again this weekend, though, so that will be a welcome return to normal. It should also keep me feeling cheery in spite of general auditions, which are this weekend as well. I'm sort of ambivolent about them because the only show I can get cast in is Tartuffe, and Meredith and I aren't exactly best buddies right now, so I'm probably not getting cast anyway. But it will be good to keep my audition skills in shape, and if I don't audition I'll just sit around wondering what-ifs all spring semester. So generals it is, and if nothing comes of these there's always New Play Festival! Yay for New Play! I'm also timing the second half of Saturday night, so I'll finally get to sit in on auditions, which I think will be really useful and educational.
David Cox is a godsent for all this fab new music. David Cox, and tea. Tea keeps my voice happy. It was rather unhappy for a few days, but it's back and bounding now, so I just have to take good care of it. Love you, Voice!
