Ok, so Mom and I are at Kohl's doing our final holiday shopping for Dad, and we decide to just screw around and look at clothes for ourselves from the 70-90% clearance area. I've been dying to get a new black pencil skirt since I lost mine to the flood, and I found a couple of cute black skirts among the super-cheap Kohl's clothes, so I decided to try them on. Did I fit in the size 12? Nope. The 10? Nope. Get this: for $8.80, I bought a very cute black skirt that was a SIZE 6!!! I'm sorry, what? A 6? Insane! I, in fact, tried on two size 6 skirts that fit me beautifully and got the cheaper of the two. This is madness. I currently weigh in midday at 152 lbs. I don't know how this is working, but I like it very much.
Also, I finally talked to ARIELLE! Woo-hoo! She sounds great, though she's pretty sad not to be going home for the holidays. I could tell she was glad to talk to me, and I was able to get her up to speed about hospitals, new diagnoses, grad school, the location shift, and lots of other stuff. I think I'll write her another letter tonight. I've missed talking to her a lot, and I'm wondering now when I'll get to see her again. She said she has a secret to tell me. This intrigues me.
Jamie and I are thinking of hanging out tomorrow. I don't what's more exciting: seeing Jamie, or the fabulous Chicago food classics! Noodles, Etc., or Flat Top? These are really the best kind of decisions.
