1. I weigh 158 lbs. WHAT?! How is this possible? I haven't weighed under 160 since I was 14. And I lost those 16 lbs. in a totally healthy way. SO PROUD.
2. We may have found a free performance space. More to come on this tomorrow, but I'm hopeful. Being freakishly on top of things might actually have paid off.
3. Dark chocolate Raisinets. Enough said.
4. Rereading Denali and getting a sense of just how great this show can be.
5. E-mails from AUSTIN! Who is as cool as he ever was, and is totally taking this staging of his show as seriously as we are. I can't wait to hear his answers to all my crazy questions on Friday. What is better than working with a playwright who says, "Yay! You did a close reading! What more could a playwright ask for?" LOVE IT.
6. Knowing that my roommates are coming up on the end of their stressful commitments, and then they can just relax and enjoy life and free time again.
7. 97% on a night-before research paper. I've still got it!
8. Skirts, tights, and boots. Fall/winter cuteness is awesome, and I didn't think I'd ever have enough body confidence to dress in it. But I'm committed to looking at least cute, if not hot, all winter long.
9. Finally dealing well with a rejection. The Denali project helps with that a lot, but I'm proud of myself for not turning into an emotional mess about it. That's a vast improvement.
10. Feeling as excited and passionate about planning and producing Denali as I was about ABM7. For the last six months, I was really worried that I'd never feel this way again. But I have this innate drive to work on this, and I'm feeling all the love for theatre that I've been missing. There is nothing more important to me right now that getting this show on its feet. That's the DK I remember. DK2.0, baby!
