Good things!

1. I have been so productive today! I made pancakes at 6:30 this morning for Casey and I, showered, and headed of to get lots of work done this morning. And already this afternoon I've done SIX discussion board posts for that communication class. Nice.

2. My boots are awesome. Period.

3. Amy is going to make delicious apple crisp!

4. I had a fantastic walk with Casey last night. It felt like old times, like when we could just hang out and talk without him feeling like he had to have an agenda or me feeling like I had to hide how sad I was. Just talking, venting, enjoying each other's company, but in a mutual, healthy way. I have missed that so much, and its reappearance is cause for celebration. He also said a lot of things that he's been saying over and over in the past months, but they just started to hit home last night and this morning. And I woke up feeling more up and hopeful than I've felt in weeks. I like that a lot.

5. CASEY IS GOING TO BE ORSINO IN A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION OF TWELFTH NIGHT!!! I am so ridiculously proud of him. He is taking this town by storm, just like he set out to do. He is essentially the professional equivalent of all the RTSF actors who seemed so untouchable when we were interns there. I mean, he's the romantic male lead in one of Shakepeare's greatest comedies being produced at a serious professional theatre. He's going to have an intern understudy and they're going to pay him $300 for playing this role! That's the dream! It's a super-short rehearsal period, which is going to mean a lot of prep work beforehand and then a really, really intense rehearsal process for 16 days. But I know Casey, and I know he can pull it off. I'm glad I'll be here to help him however I can. It's a good system we've worked out, and it will be well utilized with this show. The timing is perfect: finish R&J, go home for Thanksgiving, take a week to chill, have a readthrough on December 10th, take a month to work at home, enjoy the holidays, jump back in on January 12th, and rehearse like crazy for just over two weeks to open by the end of the month. It fills a hole in his schedule perfectly. I am so so so excited for him!

6. I have been convinced to commit to this whole "DK2.0" concept. I have two auditions coming up on November 12th and 15th, and my goal is to seriously apply blind confidence to both of them to see what happens. It's seemed much too scary to do up til last night, but Casey sold me. I'm thinking of it as a tactic to try, a new path to get to the same destination of acting in St. Louis theatre. If it doesn't pay off, I'll try something else. Something is bound to work eventually. I just have to figure out what it is. And blind confidence has worked pretty damned well for Casey since he's been here, so I'm going to try to ride that wave and see where it gets me.

7. My back finally feels healed, so I can go to SATE on Monday! Woo-hoo!
