She's coming! She's currently on a train and coming here at this very moment! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
Oh, I'm so very happy. I've been thinking since choir last night that I haven't felt this way since I was a kid on Christmas Eve. Only Arielle is much prettier than Santa, so that's even better! And no matter what happens with us, I will be thrilled to have this time with her. It feels good not to be stressing about it and to know and trust that all will be well.
I've had a nice couple of days. Work has been good, which means just the right amount of busy. I cleaned my room and bathroom yesterday, which was so necessary, and now they are both very suitable for company. I've been practicing the guitar dutifully, and I think I'm getting a little better every time. The only way I really know, though, is sink or swim time at rehearsal. So far so good; I'll just have to keep staying one step ahead.
Choir last night was lovely. I love singing! And I'm proud that despite falling away from it for so long I still have most of my high range. Granted, I've lost my high B flat, but I'm still solid on that high G, which I didn't think I would be. And most of my sight-reading is intact, and the music theory comes back to me more and more between choir and the show. I like feeling musical again. It's been a long time. Who knows? Maybe this is just the start of it all! Maybe musical theatre will end up being something I actually do with some regularity. I'd like that very much.
The roomies and I watched A Fish Called Wanda last night, one of my favorite comedies. It took them a while to warm up to it, but I think they got onboard with it eventually. Kevin Kline just sells everything he does, and John Cleese makes a surprisingly good romantic lead. I love it. I laugh so hard every time I watch that movie.
Oh, and did I mention that ARIELLE IS COMING?!?! WOO-HOO!!! Four more hours til bliss!
