YAY LONDON

SO...
I got here on the 30th with no real problems. There were some inconveniences, however, such as having to take a bus from my airplane to the terminal, and taking a bus from the terminal to a train, and then a 40 minute train then 10 minute wet walk. But its all good. Im unpacked and moved in, and its finally hitting me that "I'm Here." I've pubbed and and grocery shopped already, but that stuff is boring compared to bringing in 2006 with 8 million Brits and millions of tourists on a Bridge over the river Thames, watching firworks set in front of a backdrop consisting of Big Ben, the Millenium Eye, and about a mile of waterfront, complete with famous and historic buildings.
It was raining at midnight, and cold, but me and 6 others braved it out. We did, however, encounter a huge swarm of people when leaving, meaning that we had to walk about half way home from the fireworks, but it was fun weaving through the crowd, and finally getting a train, and coming back to some well earned Toblorone.
My room here is great, besides being on the third floor (thats fourth floor for you yank wankers). But its a very intimate group, and i made friends with practically everyone my first 2 days here.
Kensington, and more specifically Brechin Place (our street) is one of the richest neigborhoods in London, with flats and houses with price ranges in the millions of pounds. However, a cheap pint is never far away. One of my friends already went to a burger king, something I hope to avoid.
The one bad part of this trip so far is that my wirless connection isnt working with the network here, so right now im anchored safely to a ethernet port in the computer room :(. I hope to have the problem fixed by tuesday. However, the majority of my time so far has been spent around town, and I havnt felt the need or had the time to sit at my computer for hours (except, ofcourse, to write this, send an email home, and update my photo page on facebook.)
I can look forward to many free museums, some free plays (through my theatre class) and extensive journeys through the city.
More updates to come, but for now i need to take a piss and have some tidbits.
