Things that Gerald and I did in Ohio:

1. Stayed at Grannie and Pa's house, (my dad's parents) in Alliance. They were overjoyed to have us.

2. Drove by Glamorgan Castle. I swear, I never knew it was there. We were afraid of going inside, because it is apparently used as Alliance City Schools HQ. We didn't know if we would be intruding. I need to

Ohio actually has several real castles. Mac-o-cheek and Mac-o-chee are the two famous ones. Some are government buildings built to look like them, such as many prisons, but there are some real ones too. Mom took me when I was but a tad, so I don't really remember them, but I wouldn't mind going again.

7. Spent Saturday in Columbus visiting Mythos, David Willis, Maggie Weidner, and Steve-O.

First time I'd met Steve-O too. :)

8. Went to a huge comic book store with Mythos.

Ya know, I learned more about the stories and comics in that hour or so than I'd learned ever. It was a kick. :P

8 continued. Then broke for lunch at Red Robin's. I have someone who shares my love of the garlic & Parmesan fries. ;)

Awww yeah! Between that and the milkshakes (No, Ger. Put the phone down), I could make a meal of them! :D

9. Saw Watchmen for the second time, with Mythos in tow. It was an experiment between Ger and I to see what an otaku who never read the actual comic, thought of the movie. He seemed to enjoy it. I think there was a problem with the giant blue penises though.

I did really enjoy it. It will certainly join my collection when it comes out on DVD. And I didn't have a problem with the penises, per se, it was just a little jarring that there were so many scenes with wangs hangin' out. Flappin' inna breeze. I still say that Dan had John's penis in that one scene. Stunt penis! X3

10. Went farther into Columbus with Mythos to meet up with David, Maggie, and Steve. When all the restaurants were requiring a 40 minute wait to be seated, Mythos suggested Cheeseburger in Paradise. Man, I really wish the CiP didn't close here. That shit was good.

Yes, it was. It was very good and the first time I'd ever been there! I just wish I'd been hungrier, so I could've tried one of the burgers, but what I got was good. And I still think the waitress dug my head. ;)

11. I seemed to eat a hell of a lot of red meat while in Ohio, although I think it's because my UTERUS WAS BLEEDING.

Better the red meat than the kicking Ger and I in the nuts. :P

12. Showed my pending-to-sell sketchbook around to friends. I had lots of compliments, and a request for a print of one of the drawings. Maybe this art thing isn't so bad after all?

Hon, you've got mad skillz. Your stuff, with some of them, reminds me Edward Gorey. I think I might've mentioned that before, but it really comes through with some of them. Oh, and with that one girl I kept teasing you about? It's because I did like it. She's hot. ;)

And yes, the one pic is either a poster or t-shirt, most definitely! :D

14. When we met David, Maggie, and Steve, I had laughed myself so silly that I fell over on the sidewalk. I'm certain that passers-by thought I was piss drunk.

No more so than any other person on a Saturday night in Columbus! :P

Besides, it was really the fault of the Ghost of Dave Thomas. X3

14 continued. I also horribly embarrassed myself in CiP by saying the word "niggers".

I about spit out my Coke when you said that! How funny! :P

Now to plan the possible Myrtle Beach trip.

Mom and I went to Myrtle Beach YEARS ago. I dug it, but I was really too little to get much out of it.

Ya know, I looked at the prices for flights for me down to the Greenville area. Greer and Spartanburg too. Apparently, I can save a buttload of money for a flight into Charlotte. Ya know, if you'd like for me to come down for a couple days and visit later this summer. I know I would like that. Wouldn't be until August, September or October, but I could come fly down on Thursday and fly back on Sunday. That would be cool, I think. :D
