Gerald just texted me from the doctor's office. He has an inflamed thyroid. Thyroiditis. His white blood cell count is fine. It can take anywhere from two to six weeks for it to heal up. The only thing he can do is have a lot of rest, and take ibuprofen for the pain. It was caused by a virus of some sort. They have taken another test on him, but the results won't be in until Monday.
