Biding Time
He sits there looking at her while he sips his drink
wishing with every swallow it was she he was drinking
She is all that he wants
The way she smiles, the way her neck curves and her
hair falls around her shoulders
Even the way she turns her head
All of these things always take his breath away
She is fighting with her alcoholic husband again
He watches as she raises her glass
slowly to her sensuous lips and takes a sip of her drink
Dreamily he watches her swallow
He would die...to be consumed by her
He wants to take her pain away,
pull her close to him, kiss her all over
Love her the way she should be loved
He longs to enter her slowly and gently
while hearing her softly sigh
With his every thrust he wants to convey
It is he who loves her, it is he she should be with...
but for now
he plays the part of the dutiful friend
Always there to listen, to lean on
Always there with that shoulder to cry on
All the while, he secretly waits
for the demise
of one
of his closest
friends
