Daniel may be too sick to leave the hospital, and he have been forced to stay in bed and rest, but at least in his dreams, he could go anywhere he wanted and no one could tell him otherwise

Daniel sighs. "Okay. I'll see you then." He hooks the comm to his belt for a moment, crossing his arms and sitting on the bed. After tapping his foot anxiously for all of two seconds, he jumps up and heads out into the hall towards the front door. His mother is out in the living room, still talking to detectives.
"Where are you going?" A black woman in a police uniform grabs Daniel's shoulder mid-step. He looks up at her.
"I'm going to meet a friend."
"It's a bit chaotic out there right now," she says gently. "You should stay inside for now."
Daniel stares at her for a moment, then nods. "Okay," he says with his cutest smile. He shuffles back to his room and shuts the door, waiting a moment before opening his window and leaning out. He's looking over the side yard, away from the front. Doesn't seem like anyone is looking over here, good. He climbs out quickly, ducking under the shrubbery and crawling around to the backyard where he can make it to the road.
He doesn't want the police around to tell Bumblebee what he can and can't say. "Bee," Daniel stops to whisper into the comm, "Don't come to my house. I'll meet you at the corner, okay?"
Daniel has contacted someone he knows on his comm. Daniel is now sneaking out of the house...
Duskwing follows, invisible as usual. He don't trust the guards. Means something's up. An' if he's not going to stay put, and the guards aren't trusted, I really can't go off looking...
Duskwing opens a comm channel that isn't exactly a comm channel. // Hey, Blackstar? Youse got a moment? 'Cause I, uh, could use an opinion.//
// I dunno. See, I got two different things I gotta, an' there's only one of me. So I don't see how I can do this. Gotta keep an optic on this kid and keep him out of trouble--'cause if I take an optic off him for one microsecond, someone will probably steal him. But I promised to deliver a message to his designer a while back, only the guy I delivered it to turned out to not be the right guy after all, and the message is kinda out-of-date anyway, but I didn't do what I promised to do an' dat's been buggin' me, see? //
// Ya think maybe I should ask the kid what to do about the message? He's the one that asked me to send it in the first place. //
Duskwing frowns to himself. //That's part of the problem, Blackstar. The guy we thought was him isn't really him, he's a copy, sorta. Nobody I know knows where the guy is. An' I don't wanna have to be the guy to tell the kid his designer isn't the real guy--it's gonna upset him something bad. So explainin' to him why I couldn't deliver his message, when he thinks I did, is kinda hard. //

There's a moment of thoughtful silence before Blackstar responds.
// Slag... Then that won't work then. Someone's gotta be looking for the kid's designer though, right? What if you keep watching the kid, keep him outta trouble, and I go see who's looking for his designer. When they find him, I can let you know so you can come keep your promise or something. Would that work? There's only one of you, but there's two of us. //
There's a very long silence as Duskwing thinks about that.
//I think I can handle that, yeah. The guy they're looking for, the kid's designer, is the human Ambassador guy. Spike Witwicky.//
Another long silence. //I found out about when Starscream asked me to keep an eye on what Red Alert and Frostbite were up to. They were investigatin' stuff and found it out, so they might be the guys to check.//

There's another brief pause as Blackstar makes his apologies to Skyfire, and then, the black and silver Seeker appears beside the dark blue and purple, visible only to his fellow phantom. Blackstar nods his greetings, pausing a second to get his bearings in the physical world, and making note of the human boy crouched in the bushes, hiding.
Spike Witwicky. Got it.
He concentrates on Daniel, firmly fixing the boy's feel in his mind, setting a sort of anchor just in case he needs to find the kid again for some reason. Better safe than sorry.
Red Alert and Frostbite... I'll go find the Air Commander. He can point me in the right direction. Okay?

A quick impression of a big red and white Autobot with a shoulder-mounted missile launcher, and a silver Autobot femme.
That's them. Red Alert and Frostbite.

Got it. Thanks. I'll keep you posted, he promises, before vanishing in search of their Air Commander.
