I'm sitting in Exeter library, trying to read the Green part platform, and get communication type things done... so I thought I'd write a bit more.

Spent all day hoeing... but it was quite a short day, which is a mixed blessing (i'd have liked to work longer, but means I got ot come into town to do this.) we're sort of short on work right now, and that will get worse for a week or two, as some more guys come. Then in a couple weeks the isane cutting season starts up, and somedays are 15 or 16 hours.

which means right now is when classes are possible. they are however going slowly... but then again I'm working with, and living with my coworkers so there's tons of learning happening in a non formal setting (unlike last year when I wasn't living with (until six weeks into) and rarely worked with non LTs.) so while its a different experience, (duh!!!) ie fewer formal classes, I don't feel useless, and am therefore happy.

Work consists of either hoeing, or planting. Planting is behind a rapidly moving tractor dropping baby brocolli into a turning wheel with holes in it. Later we start harvesting, which involves weilding a large knife and cutting broccoli up. There is also bunching to be done, which is putting the elastic band on the broccoli.

I'm living with Gregorio, and Arnulfo, who are both pretty cool... and right now there are 4 other guys (Juan Caro, Juan Ranulfo, Pancho, and Gilberto).

This saturday Gregorio and are going to come into town to the local watering hole. And sunday I am going to entertain myself by playing soccer, and writing letters.
