Today I have the privilege to be working on my thesis not just from the NYU library study dungeon, but from one of the private rooms therein (like a semi-sound proof cubicle but with a window so people won't lock themselves in and do anything naughty). Normally it's impossible to snag one of these rooms, but I counted myself lucky today when I found one open at 9:30 this morning. The crazy thing is that I was able to get another private study room when I came back from having lunch with Ashley up by Penn Station. I was slightly confused at first, but then I realized that there is an obvious explanation to today's curious absence of workers in the academic sweat shop:
IT'S THE FRIDAY BEFORE SPRING BREAK!
So not only am I a loser without plans for spring break, I a loser that goes to the library the Friday before. Oh, and to top it all off, I haven't even been doing any work for the last hour or so. I've just kinda been staring at my thesis hoping that it will think of an insightful and witty conclusion all on its own.
