2009

So it's 2009.

2008 seemed to have gone by SOOO fast. I'm really looking forward to this year though. I mean I'm living at home (which isn't great but is definitely better than the dorms) but hopefully by the end of this year will have my own place. 2008 finished off with my sister Megan and her husband buying their first home (4 bedroom 2 bath home in redford). It is perfect for them and I am incredibly happy for and proud of them.

Over the past year i really think that i've changed. I've stopped caring about stupid stuff, I've started to focus more on my schooling. I finally declared my major, so as of last April I am officially a Psychology Major at Madonna University. I have a few years left, hopefully I'll finish in 2010, but its not a guaranteed because i took so long to declare it and start taking my classes.

I have lost about 25-35 pounds since July. Which is freaking sweet. I still have about 40-50 pounds to lose to get down to a "healthy" weight for by size but I'm not so worried about my actual weight anymore as I am about being healthy and making the body I have look better.

Katie's post made me think... I don't want to make a bunch of resolutions that i'll never keep but I do want to make life changes.  So here's a few:

1. I want to start eating healthier and working out more regularly, hopefully I will be working out at least 3 times a week (MWF) to start. I am going to be bring meals/snacks to school the 2 days I'm on campus (TW 1-7) to avoid snacking/eating foods that are bad for me.

2. I would really like to start going to therapy again but am not sure if I can because I don't exactly have the money for it (even though it isn't too expensive). Even though I only went for a little bit I've gotten a bit better at talking when things upset me. Which is one reason that I really needed to go to therapy in the first place.

3. I am hoping to finally tell my family about my engagement and start planning my wedding. Another important thing i want to do is actually set a date for the wedding.

Hopefully this will remind me to actually keep up with it all.
