Travel Log
10:30 AM, 11 Apr 2009: Beginning ascent of Mt Seperation.
10:50 AM, 11 Apr 2009: I really expected to see the first landmark by now. This is going to be a decent length walk.
11:30 AM, 11 Apr 2009: It just keeps going up...
12:00 AM, 11 Apr 2009: I can see the top!
12:05 PM, 11 Apr 2009: No, it keeps going.
12:20 PM, 11 Apr 2009: I really can see the top this time.
12:30 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Lunch time. Picnic on the summit. View would be amazing if not for all these trees.
13:15 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Walking back along the top.
13:20 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Charlie! Charrrrlie! ...... We're on a ridge, Charlie!
13:50 PM, 11 Apr 2009: I've been walking for way too long now. Where are we on the map, anyways 14:30 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Ok, I've checked the map. There is no track called 'The Chimney'. Not sure how else I'm supposed to get off this mountain though.
14:45 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Well, it's not like going downhill will take us further away from the campsite - we're next to the riverbed.
15:00 PM, 11 Apr 2009: You know, when the sign said 'The Chimney', I really should have realised it meant 'The most vertical bit'.
15:15 PM, 11 Apr 2009: I ran out of water more than an hour ago. I really, really hope we're close to the campsite.
15:45 PM, 11 Apr 2009: Return from ascent of Mt Seperation. Gulp down water until I feel sick, and swear to take more with me next time.
All in all, a great hike. Highly recommended.
