The semester is ending so I figured this would be the perfect time to update. I haven't updated in ages so what else is new (both literally and figuratively)? Okay sooo first off, I'm stuck at UMass until tomorrow night. There's a snow storm coming and supposedly, there's we're going to get a ton. I hope so because I could have gone home if not.
This past week, I've wanted to go home so badly because it's been such a busy semester. However, I wanted to enjoy it while it lasted as well. I can not believe the semester went by so fast! It has made me think, where has it all went?
I feel like a ton has happened in such a short time. In short:
I drank a ton the beginning of the year. Spent too much money on alcohol. The good thing was, I only threw up once! Bad thing is, it was on my birthday!
Everyone knows, the whole summer I wanted to just kiss someone who I had no intentions of anything with. Well, it happened one drunken night at school. It caused a lot of problems. Those were a few really sucky weeks. But I'm so glad its over.
Louis is my boyfriend now and he is amazing! I've gotten to know him so much more the last few months and I'm so happy to have him in my life.
I've gotten so much closer to the friends I have here at school. It makes me happy knowing I can have my best friends at home as well as at school.
Working at the police station can be a little boring at times. Most of the people are over 40 besides one other cadet working with me. It can be a little dry at times. But I have to say, I do enjoy it. Sitting in the police cars while texting, reading evidence reports that I'm really not supposed to see, and getting paid too much for what I do is kind of fun. I feel like it's a pretty good experience.
The workload this year has been more than ever. Or I just am striving to do better. With so much other things going on, the most difficult part has been staying awake...I need to get that checked out! With grades coming in though, I've realized that all my hard work and spending 12 hour nights at the library is paying off.
I've been getting in shape for the most part. It feels good to be eating healthier and going to the gym. I've realized it affects a big part of my life.
Overall, the past 3 and a half months have helped me figure out what I want in my life and what I want to do in these next few years. Studying abroad, volunteering, running club, etc. I'm happy to have gone through this semester, through the good times and the bad. Looking back, I have grown as a person.I'm excited to go home and spend time with you all. I've missed you so much! I feel so lucky to know I have the best friends in the world at home, who I know will be there no matter what.
Okay, so time to eat.
