If I could

I'd want to smell like lilac

I'd want to be in a cave
with story book smooth walls
pictographs telling stories
a dim warmth of amber glow
diffusing forward out
from an empty womb to be
and pulses waves of heat
of sorrow's release
melting distractions off of me
so I can free
this release in waiting

but alas opportunity,
for I returned
to the scatter and churn
no space
to reflect and hibernate

I don't need to have such distress. I just want to cry and get it over with. Breathe in, accept, take the stregth you need, release.

I'd want to smell like a lilac

I will treasure this weekend for always. Seeing my parents perform in a concert hall, snowed-in blues jam sessions with family, a bonfire with drums amongst our blankets and blanket of snow, all including my dear cousin Marissa.

P.S. Happy Valentine's day. It's nice to celebrate love. there's more that we know, reaching out to each, believe me.
