Well....
It probably won't be worse than the TV series that I didn't see because Ms. LeGuin condemned it. But I need to reread The Other Wind but it looks like they might already be goofing up the story.
And it's an interesting example of how Japan continues to take a meritocracy and royally screw it up into nepotism. I don't know how qualified Miyazaki's kid is since Miyazaki the elder himself doesn't like the idea. Of course that just means that after a while Miyazaki the elder will end up working on it himself.
