The National Novel Writing Month is rapidly approaching. And I'm still not sure what I want to write. The first year I knew and was relatively happy with the result. The next year I had a good idea bad execution because I had promised the previous year that I would write "something happy about little girls and unicorns." Well, I miss the "happy" but it was about little girls and unicorns.
The little girl won, by the way.
This year I'm thinking, and just thinking now mind you, that either I will write out a type of narrative novelization of my comic book series I want to make. It's a story that's been bouncing around for a while but it's just not right in tone to be a novel I think.
My other thought is to do some reworking of some of the stories in Ugetsu Monogatari from different points of view or in a different time period and place.
Dunno.
We watched King Kong the other night. Rented it. I thought it was a good movie. William was jealous because I said the screenwriter was too cute to die and so he kept rooting for his death the entire movie. I was very very squicked out by the giant penis leeches. *shudder* Penis dentata: not a wonderful phrase. Makes Alien look all tame by comparison.
