(no subject)
CARO, ALYSSA AND I HAVE DECIDED ON A PLACE TO LIVE. it's a townhouse on clarence street, which is a 10 minute walk from rideau, near bytown theater and loblaws. it's 316 each a month, plus hydro, which is sweet. it's pretty roomy, 2 floors. i'd be getting the smallest bedroom, but i dont care to fight over the other ones anyways, and even the smallest is big enough. there's a porch on the second floor and a small deck in the back, where we could have a BBQ. there's an unfinished basement too, which is pretty big. im guessing we could have basement shows? but i dont want random crusty punks in my fucking house. and i dont want to have big parties either, even though it's big enough to do so (again, dont want random ppl in my house.) we'll definitely be having friends over though (ppl can just drop by when they are downtown!) and we'll probably have a house-warming party within the first week. ill give you guys more details as we get organized. we already have soo much stuff/furniture to bring with us. its crazy. we move in july 1st if we get it! we already gave in all our applications and put a down payment for last month's rent, so they just need to approve. and really, i dont see why they wouldn't.
(OK. read the above paragraph so i dont have to repeat myself a billion times about our new house!) so yeah, im really really hoping we get it. it would be so sweet. if not, we are considering a place in sandy hill, or china town. so we have back-ups. HEY EMMA, CHELL AND HELENA, you guys are moving out in september right? want our list of numbers? i dunno if they'll still be available, but it's worth a shot.
k, so yeah thursday and friday was apartment hunting. thursday we went to see eric and yves for a bit after. friday after hunting, i went to nate's. we drank outside under the gazebo with the others. it was nice. slept over there that night. rushed home the next morning to shower and then headed back downtown with my dad to meet alyssa and her mum so that they could see the clarence place/sign stuff. im so excited! after that i worked from 2 until close. the hot idiot i work with dumped all his small coins into my cash instead of counting them out himself, fucking asshole. it took me almost an hour to close!! i went to nate's after. we died of heat while lounging on really cool sparling red 60s booth chairs. nate was drunk and kept picking me up over his head. it was fun.
