After the deadline for bus stop information, the one for district boundaries is fast approaching.
The court date is the 4th of July, I get back in Halifax from Las Vegas the day before.
The city is *finally* laying down its case, something it had failed to do for the review officer. The arguments they make now have a bearing on the type of democracy we can expect for the next few years.
Some of the arguments are novel, including suggestion of copyright. What really got my blood pressure up was the affidavits, sworn documents laying out the supposed facts in the matter. All I can conclude is those bureaucrats are either professional liars or have *very* selective memories.
I thought my deadline was today, but it's actually Thursday... I have a few hours to respond, and try and shred their arguments.
