i have begun to make daily lists for myself so that i don't feel so overwhelmed by everything i have to do before i move. each of these lists ends with some encouraging words: "you can do this" "everything will be allright" etc. i am surprised at how stressed over this stuff i can get, as i generally feel pretty relaxed. maybe this is only a surprise to me, but, either way, the reassuring tone helps, and, so far the lists are working.
yesterday i sent a tape of myself reading my favorite poem and a mark twain speech to BYU. i will be graded on inflection, tone, breating, etc. this will be posted on the net in about two weeks. in the meantime, i must begin to think of a topic for a speech i will compose and read on my own. i am thinking about some stuff, but really i have no idea.
