So I was tweeting this, but I think i decided that at the 4th tweet in half as many minutes it should have been an lj entry.

# DanielEfton So, decided to start editing my loudtwitter posts to lj instead of making separate posts, this will make those posts more interesting
# DanielEfton Told LT to stop putting replies in the batch, not sure how i feel ( Read more... )

Your loudtwitter only updates once a day as is. It batches them together into one post. Its like that with all of the loudtwitter people.

obvious answer is obvious.....

you confuse me. I am thinking about changing WHEN it batches them.

hmm. I dont see how it's relevent when it updates. The people that hate loudtwitter will still scroll and the people that read everything will still be all over it.

I suppose a truly honest answer would be this; You already know I dont read twiiter posts. I scroll through them all. I figure that I have a limited time to read my friends, why take up time to read a twiiter batch when they didnt bother to take the time to log onto LJ and do a real update?

Having said that, if the batch would update to LJ during a slow time of the day when I was itching for more content on my friends page, then I suppose I might read it, as there is no other competition for my reading time at that moment.

But what I would like to do, is have LT update the batch to lj at a point in the day when I am least active (asleep) so that things are congruent and not split as happens when I work third shift. And then when I have a chance to do so, edit the post and turn it into a real entry, with information/anecdotes that wouldn't fit into a 140 character tweet. like this or more.

be honest - you skimmed this post didn't you LOL

Yeah, I did catch that intent.

I was just answering the question directed at me, how to make the scrollers read your loudtwitters.

The people that scroll twitter posts dont even realize that the updates are incongruent so like I said, when it captures and batches them is pretty much irrelevent to the scroller crowd.

skimming is how i read my page 99% of the time, only stopping if something catches my interest, or if i know posts will contain something special. which is why I created the daily filter, awesome stuff only.

I dont skim with the exception of some communities (depending on my time) and LT.
