It's that time.

I know it's october, and that NaNoWriMo is right around the corner. I wasn't really aware of it until this afternoon.

But since last night I have two stories in my head fighting for attention.

The first of which could be the most challenging. It's a police investigation, sorta like CSI. The problem is that I would have issues creating new characters because the ones from the shows are all up in my head. But the case is interesting, and would require a bit of research. As usual it involves some homosexual story bits, but would not provide a chance for smut. Most of the story focuses on the suspects, so maybe I won't have to delve much into the investigators. But I don't think this is NaNo worthy, length-wise.

The second, would only be a stretch in that it would be an action story, dealing heavily in corporate espionage. The opening would be a fight between a couple because she wants to get married and he hasn't asked her, despite putting her in situations where she expects a proposal. He says he can't marry her because he's in love with a guy, a guy he hasn't had contact with in ten years. So he goes about trying to get in touch with him, only no one has heard from him. He's been kidnapped and a one man manhunt ensues. Does he save the day? Or does he get caught himself? (I have this idea that the spurned woman follows him throughout his search, and saves the day. But then there is an idea that she actually finds the guy first and gets caught, leaving the guy to save the day)

One small bit of info that makes me a bit giddy about the second idea - The couple are Kenneth and Barbara - aka "ken and barbie."
