My poor car
So last Monday it was raining tires. THis monday I have an entire different story.
I was headed to Hoboken as usual for work around 8:30 this morning. I swear that driving driving on the parkway south of the Toms River tolls is hazadarous to your health. As soon as you hit the tolls there is totally different driving on the other side. It is so much better up north.
So anyway... as I was driving up the parkway I noticed a white pickup truck driving badly behind me. He went all the way to the right lane. I was in the left because it was right before the tolls, I was going to go through ezpass. It was early was there was traffic for the morning rushhour. The moron in the white pickup cut across 3 lanes fo traffic and hopped in front of me where my car would not have even fit and i have a small car. I honked and the car that was now in front of the pickup hit his brakes cause someone way up hit his brakes which maked the ass slam on his since he was going so fast when he jummped in and was already breaking. I had no time to leave fallowing distance since the ass just jumped in and so I really slammed on my brakes. I slammed them so hard that I skid and screamed and left marks down the road. I was literally inches from the ass's bumper. I didn;t hit him and he just sped off. I called the #GSP report line and reported him. I hope he got pulled over and had the book thrown at him.
So... I unfortunitly did a number on my car slamming the brakes so hard. I know that 2 things were pre existing, but one was made much worse by this little incident. My mechanic was super surprised that I actually flattened my tires when I slammed on them so hard. The rotors were also warped, could have been from this or from before cause I knew they felt strange before. New brake pads were needed cause of the slamming and warped rotors. And to top it off...the front right axel needed to be replaced. Now the axel is most likely just an age thing and not from this. So at least that is taken care of now.
My entire bill for my car turned out to be $712. Not bad for not hitting someone. I wish I could just kick that guy.
