With tea bags all over...

Hi everyone! So good to know the meaning of spare time again! As I promised, here's my attempt of summarising my life lately:

1) First, THE news of the  last week...I bought myself a laptop! Un-freaking-believable (specially considering the fact that my now ex-computer had Windows 98...whoops!)! Thanks to Mom's credit card + 15 installments, I'm now enjoying technology to the fullest. Yup, this is my first entry posted with Tadzio (and yes, that's how I named my computer, after one of the main characters in Death in Venice, the book I have to read to my first Art and Literature II class, which I've already read...wonderful! I also saw the movie last year...a bit slow maybe, but worth watching, I tell you, specially because of the actor playing Tadzio;) )

2) And speaking of classes (which are starting next Monday, btw), next term may be  the lightest one within my major...I'm only attending 4 classes (Art and Literature II, History of Music I, Anthropology, and Communication I), which means I'll be going to college from Mondays to Wednesdays, and that's it (ok, I still have Italian III on Thrusdays, but that doesn't count:P)!

3) And speaking of my Mom...well, she's doing better, though the medication they prescipted her for the post-operation obviously has constant mood swings as a side effect...We haven't had fights whatsoever, but from time to time she turns into a bitchy person, and some of her comments really hurt me. For example, 2 weeks ago, while I was having a conversation with her on how (imho) our relationship had improved a lot after her surgery, she replied to me that I couldn't have been more distant during the process...which I though it was a really unfair accusation. Fortunately, I've learned I can't take those comments so seriously, or else I'd be screwed right now...She accused her boyfriend of the same thing, and the following day suggested we should go on a road trip to La Plata. My face was all "wtf?!", but then I thought what she had said before couldn't have been serious? Maybe?

4) And speaking of trips, I'm planning on going to Rosario with Sebastian for the next long weekend (Mid-August!), and this time I'm taking matters into my own hands. No more "being-lazy-and-letting-Sebastian-do-the-planning" attitude...In fact, I've already been looking for accomodation, sending emails and comparing prices...Proactive mode on!

5) On a more depressive note, I was supposed to meet Jesi Jess justjesi  today for our monthly cooking day, but was dealing with a sore throat since yesterday and decided to postpone it....In fact, I was supposed to go to work as well, but didn't do it either (fortunately I've got a boss who's very understanding)...Woke up feeling like a zombie, all pale and with a headache too...Now, after a bazillion cups of lemon tea with honey (I HATE the combination of tea + honey, it's so...yucky!), some pills and a shower, I'm feeling better, though I still feel uncomfortable whenever I swallow food (and not eating it's deffinitely NOT an option, specially to me!).

6) On a happier note, I met my highschool friend Esme last Thrusday, whom I hadn't seen since my birthday. We had coffee and talked non-stop for about 4 hours, no kidding! Also, I'm seeing another highschool friend this Thrusday, Dani, who's coming over to my place with tons of things to talk about, and probably, accompanied by some pastry, lol:P

7) Saw Toy Story 3 with my sis, and loved it!!! By far, the best one out of the 3...I've been meaning to go to the movies to see Shrek Forever after as well, but I'm afraid this one will disappoint me a little bit...Saw Les herbes folles (or "Wild Grass", in English) too, by French filmmaker Alain Resnais...didn't even know the plot, just went because he made Hiroshima mon amour, and that was reason enoguh to go...Glad I followed my instintcs:D

(And I must've forgotten sth, but this entry's already too long...have a nice day everyone!)

trip, college, friends, mom, health, technology, sebastian, tadzio, books, movies, long weekend
